PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE                                                         August 2018

This is really a summer to remember.  Hot, lots of rain lately, and tricky weather for car shows and cruises. Shade is hard to find at these events and scheduling is a nightmare.  The old cars don’t fare well in heavy rainstorms.  Remember our first Colonial meet in Sturbridge, Mass.?   It rained 8” over the 3 day event. Cars were in a lake up to the running board.  I wonder how many young folks know what a running board is?

The last meeting at the Dunlea farm in Woodstock, CT was hot but fun. A gorgeous day for a cookout and great food, good company and a surprise road tour through picturesque countryside lead to an ice cream treat, as usual.  The day turned out to be a scorcher by 3pm.  Thanks Jim and Qin for hosting.

No additional surveys have been received since May.  Results are being tallied. It’s not too late if you haven’t responded yet.

Our newest member, Bob Cook, has a part he is needing for his 1948 Plymouth coupe (front bumper). Details will be on the web page soon, if not already.

Don Palmer has also added a new posting on 65-66 Dodge GT parts.
