No one can say that living in New England is boring weather wise.  Spring is close at hand, but don’t take your car out just yet.  The weather can change in a minute & has. We did have sunshine for the club’s meeting on Feb. 26th at the Salem Cross Inn in West Brookfield, Mass.  15 members attended the meeting & enjoyed a wonderful dinner in an old, well restored restaurant full of Colonial décor.  Mar2017MeetingThere was even a fire burning in the huge cooking fireplace on the lower level of the 3 story farmhouse restaurant. Thanks to Tom Dorward for arranging that.

We discussed the web site & future problems possibly associated with maintenance.  Don Palmer has agreed to try his hand at keeping it going but feels he is unable to handle any real problems.  We will make decisions as things happen.  Not many members seem to be using the site.  Most users & inquiries come from non-members around the world.  We think they may be thinking it is the Nat’l. Plymouth Club site.  Don Palmer’s technical articles are attracting the inquiries.

We started the monthly calendar & hope to finalize more at next month’s meeting.  To date we have: 1) Mar. 19th at the Whitman’s in Hancock with brunch at the IOKA Valley Farm for Maple season pancake breakfast; 2) Apr. possibly Sat. the 22nd for an antique clock & antique shop tour. 3) Sat. May 20 will be back at the Thompsonville Motor Speedway in Ct., & June 25th hosted by Jim Dunlea & Qin.

Our next meeting is Sun. Mar. 19 at the Whitman’s home in Hancock Mass on Rte. 43. Meet there (3326) at noon for a meeting & snack, then head to the IOKA Valley Farm next door for a pancake/waffle meal at 1:30 that includes maple tasting & syrup making. We need a head count for reservations, so please call 413-738-5322 or e-mail gvebigman@gmail.com if you are coming by Mar.17th. Judy
